Our Electronic Stability Program (ESP) continuously monitors your steering and braking actions while you’re cornering and compares them to the actual vehicle path. If it senses the onset of plowing (understeer) or fishtailing (oversteer), ESP brakes individual wheels and/or reduces excess engine power, to help keep you on course. ESP also incorporates traction control to help counteract wheelspin during acceleration.3 Along with standard 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, every C-Class benefits from our emergency-sensing Brake Assist. Mercedes-Benz research showed that drivers tend not to brake hard enough, soon enough, in an emergency.
